As usual the dungeon guard removed the ring the king had given him for his services, before entering the big tub for a bath, but this time something pulled him under water by his waist.

As rescuers pulled him out of the water the memory of his life in the 21st century came back to him, and the only thing from his guard days remained was the ring mark on his finger left by the king's ring.
